What is PaperCutz
Paper based communications such as magazines are something that we use and enjoy on a regular basis during our daily lives. However, some paper based communication has low involvement, for example annual investment reports, and can be deemed unnecessary when all we do for example is glance at details and then file or discard.
PaperCutz is about reducing this unnecessary use of paper in ‘low involvement' communication where the use of electronic based communication makes a simple substitution. The environmental impacts of paper, print production and distribution are substantial. While electronic based communications are not without their own environmental impacts, Planet Ark believes in the vast majority of cases they are lower than the equivalent paper based communication.
Paper use and choices are about a sensible and balanced approach to resource usage and its consequent environmental impact.
